Last year, I went to Moalboal with my son. It was his first time to be there ever and my first time to return in a very long while. The Moalboal that exists in my mind is far different from the one I found. There are more people there now, more stores and the houses were more expensive. They had reclaimed a portion of the shore where I used to play as a young boy and turned it into a market which might be a push for progress but which I thought was a little unfortunate. The "tulay" which juts like a dagger from the shore to the sea allowing people to walk on dry concrete is feeling the forces of nature, the waves pushing constantly against it, and the boulders that supported it, held together by cement for a long time is slowly moving away from the bonding that kept them intact and together for years.

The town hall is an imposing structure but the old church seems forlorn. The Spaniards built an imposing structure which has stood the test of time but not of men who destroyed its integrity by replacing the massive walls with hollow blocks. A charismatic priest had managed to convince the townfolk that the church needed renovation and they replaced those glorious, massive blocks that were its walls with thin-looking, flimsy-feeling hollow blocks. Only the facade was preserved. The picture of Moalboal in my mind looks very different from what I found when I went there last year. That renovation happened long ago, the young, charismatic priest has gone butthe folly of his action remains.

Sea And Sand
The Philippines is such a nice vacation place with such places like Camiguin and Boracay but truth be told, I have never been to those places. I guess there is no pressing need to go there since there are just too many places to go to when the desire for the beach and the sea hits me. The entire Philippine Archipelago has vacation spelled right on them and every one who has been to the Philippines knows this to be true. There is nothing like a Philippine Vacation to take away the stress of Western living. Of course it is always good when different people go to different places so that there would be a co-mingling of thoughts and ideas as they get together.

I should be going to Cebu soon, in order to start the Lotto Pool. They are now waiting for me to finish the system and I also need to get away from Dumaguete. Squeak and Seaside are such gool tools that enable me to make the application that is the Lotto Pool. I googled the other day about lotto pool and found the old lotto pool I had with Manny Q. Rio Lao revived it last year and it seems to be doing fine.

Boracay, Philippines
I am kinda stuck in here. I need to go take a vacation from myself although that is something I would not know how to do. The thing is I am a workaholic and there are surely many like me and we all need to take a vacation from ourselves. Ching's World would be a good vacation place. It would be ideal for someone like me who does not stop working. There is work in Ching's World and that is mostly in my head. Who cares about what I do? A vacation is what I need and i should be able to get that at Ching's World. Are there telltale signs to be found in Ching's World? Maybe, maybe not. An island getaway vacation is what I need.
This comes from Green Tea and follows the patterns there. Come into these sites: Squeak Smalltalk Adventure, The Ordinary Life, Politics: Divine Right of Kings and Presidents, Creation, Life, Consciousness.
There is Boracay in the Philippines that would make a good getaway spot. Many people go there and there seems to be good opportunities there. Rey is running a hotel there and that should be good. Boracay is said to have many flights going in and out of it. I guess that is a good vacation spot, an island paradise.

Dream Vacations
What is my dream vacation? I don't know about other people but I would like to go away where I can do what I want without having anyone telling me what to do or when to do it. I definitely need sun, lots of sun, and sea. I like waves rushing to shore at night, lulling me to sleep, making me forget the world and all its woes and worries.
I need a vacation to take me away from myself. I have too much mental baggage and I cannot seem to shake them off. I need a kind of Shangri-la where everything is perfect and sunny all year round. And music, definitely music. I want my dream vacation to have the music of crickets and the songs of birds.
The perfect vac ation is Ching's World, where there is plenty of sun and swaying coconut trees, birds chirping all around. This is the perfect paradise on earth: Ching's World.
In Ching's World you will find Cagayan de Oro City (CDO) and Dumaguete.
